ONE OUT OF EVERY THREE BITES OF OUR FOOD NEEDS TO BE POLLINATED BY BEES!
WHAT IS KILLING OUR BEES, CONTRIBUTING TO INCREASED DISEASES IN HUMANS AND CAUSING OUR FOOD TO BE UNHEALTHY?
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT, EVEN LIFE SAVING, TO EAT ORGANIC FOODS?
What’s the big deal?
We have published many articles about how the bee populations are threatened but why is that so important? How does that relate to me and my families’ health? And what can I do to change this?
Perhaps you have heard of Genetically Modified foods. GMO’s. But do you really understand how that affects us, our health and the sustainability of our planet?
Firstly, you might want to download and watch the documentary called The Vanishing of the Bees.
There is a small charge, but it is extremely worth it and eye opening!
WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR PLANET?
Let’s begin with the vanishing bee populations, why and how this has happened. And more importantly, how it affects us humans. Tens of thousands of beekeepers have watched their bees literally leave the hives and disappear! As they tell their stories (vanishingbees.com) they are at first confused, then angry and then completely devastated! After much world-wide searching for answers, research and then discovery, the conclusions are the same. The chemical companies that produce DDT and other chemical nerve agents to destroy pests, realized that the pests were becoming immune to the chemicals and actually increasing in strength and numbers.
There has been a war going on between the pests, the farmers and the chemical companies.
The solution from the large chemical companies became, not to spray more but to actually chemically modify the plants, the vegetables and fruits that we used to love so much. Have you noticed that modern strawberries, corn and tomatoes do not taste the same as they did many years ago? In fact, they have very little taste at all? Even roses have no fragrance when purchased in the store.
To genetically modify foods, chemical companies actually change the DNA of the plants so they are not as vulnerable to the pests as before. But worse than that, they soak all seeds in pesticides and other chemicals to make them look perfect and grow larger. Not only are we sacrificing the delicious flavor of our foods, we are ingesting herbicides and other chemicals with every non-organic food we eat!
Now, how does that relate to the extinguishing of the bee population? The bees will no longer pollinate these chemically altered plants! Bees are disappearing in droves, leaving their hives and flying off into oblivion! (again, watch the movie.) To be blunt and completely honest: this can cause the destruction of the human population as we know it. Without bees, there is no pollination and without pollination, there is no healthy food. Only chemically altered look-alikes!
A HOPEFUL SOLUTION!
However, there is an answer. By recognizing what is happening NOW, we can return to the land, and look at sustainability and how to achieve it. This is why we have invested in Wellness Paradise Farm and are committed to reviving the dwindling bee populations, growing organic food through aquaponics (more about this later) and to reduce our carbon footprint by conscious recycling practices. Come join us!
Come to The Wellness Paradise Farm or enroll in our on-line classes that teach these principles and will inspire you to contribute to the healing of our earth rather than to it’s destruction.
Conscious Beekeeping Class: A mindfulness practice to Save our Planet and improve our relationships! Our survival depends upon bees pollinating our plants so that our food will grow. We need their honey to be uncontaminated – for their own use in their hives as well as what they share with us. We learn to approach their hives with a quiet mind and a peaceful energy field. The bees will give us immediate feedback if we are agitated, anxious or preoccupied. These practices go a long way in paving the road to a more conscious life. Managing a bee colony and participation in the safe collection of honey, will be applicable tools that we can take home and incorporate into conscious practices with our family members, employees and co-workers.
